1989-2004 KX500 Billet Power Valve Spacer Kit – Upgraded

This kit is the definitive solution for perfecting power valve timing and flow on the Kawasaki KX500 KIPS cylinder. While the factory setup is functional, the inclusion of a base gasket (usually around .020") during assembly lifts the cylinder slightly, creating unwanted axial play and misalignment in the power valve drums. This kit corrects that oversight with precision-machined components that compensate for the gasket thickness, ensuring perfect valve alignment and maximum flow through the auxiliary exhaust ports.

The core of this kit is the two oversized spacers (49002-1093), which are engineered to be slightly taller than the OEM parts. This eliminates the slop the factory overlooked, resulting in a power valve system that stays perfectly centered and performs exactly as intended.

Correcting the Factory Flaw

• Eliminates Axial Play: The slightly taller 49002-1093 spacers compensate for the lift created by the base gasket, removing the axial "slop" found in the stock assembly.
